Rigel: Le souffle de la révolution

Arion Orchestre Baroque ushers in the winds of change with a new recording, Rigel : Le souffle de la Révolution (Rigel and the Winds of Revolution).

The album is devoted to rarely recorded vocal and instrumental works by Henri-Joseph Rigel (1741-1799), that were composed against the backdrop of the French Revolution. With soloists Magali Simard-Galdès, soprano, Nicholas Scott (tenor), and Mélisande McNabney (fortepiano), all under the direction of Mathieu Lussier, conductor and artistic director of Arion. This album marks the orchestra’s second project in collaboration with the Centre de musique baroque de Versailles.
